Ted studied Medicine at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1972 with a Distinction in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. He worked in general practice and administration until 1982 when he obtained his Masters in Health Education from the University of London.
On returning to Sydney, he commenced General Practice in earnest, running a successful prevention orientated practice in Banksmeadow until the late 90’s. Joining Executive Health Management in 1999 and becoming Medical Director in 2008.
His work has allowed him to concentrate passionately on the area of Medicine that he found most rewarding, especially his ability to successfully provide clarity through the muddied waters of various gimicky Paleo principles of both nutrition and activity.
On retiring in 2018 [on his 70th birthday!] from preventive medical practice, Ted was honoured by recognition as a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Using his Health Education and Lifestyle Medicine qualifications, Ted is now able to offer small group or one on one ambulatory consultation service in the Eastern Suburbs, where you too can walk the walk and talk the talk with one of Australia’s leading preventive health advisers with a record of 2 decades dealing with some of Australia’s top lawyers, executives, and businesspeople.
